River Exploration

After gathering at a floating house in the middle of De Vong river, take your boat, don't worry if you haven't used it yet, I will show you how you become the expert in driving the boat.

you will drive your boat to explore the river to enjoy the amazing river view, visit hundreds-year-old nypal palm forest and talk to the local fishers to discover their lifestyle, so enjoy your chance to take some great photos.

Clam catching

This type of clam can be found a lot at not-too-deep ponds. On the afternoons when the water is shallow, local people often catch clams to improve their family meal.

To catch the clams, people have to move by feet and rub near the bottom surface of the river, when “strange thing” are discovered, they will use hands to pick it up, and absolutely nearly 90% you’ve stepped on a clam.

We will boat to the farm area and try to catch some clams for your meal.

Back to the floating house in the middle of the river is the best spot for delicious food with a stunning view and amazing way to experience the beautiful landscape of De Vong  River, the culture of the local fisher people living along the river.

Have you heard about "Bun Cha Ca" in Viet Nam? this is the traditional famous noodle in Viet Nam. My parent make the "Cha ca" , kind of grilled fish roll, in the morning and sell to the Hoi An market. If you come my house in the early of the morning for coffee or breakfast, I will let you try to make a "Cha ca" roll. By the way, we have a pond to feed shrimp and local fishes, we will make some awesome local foods for you  :D

What to Expect

Your local guide meets you at your hotel at 08:00 you’ll head out by bicycle to  An Bang river village.

Gathering at a floating house at 8h30 and take your boat  to middle of the river. 

We will surround the net into the water and wait for a while for the fishes to be caught in the net. In the meantime, you will drive your boat to explore the river to enjoy the amazing river view, visit hundreds-year-old nypal palm forest and talk to the local fishers to discover their lifestyle, so enjoy your chance to take some great photos.
At 10:00 we will back to the fishing point  and learn how to pull  the net and the fish from the water.
After collecting all fishes, we will return to the float house at 11:00.

We will have lunch with the fishes you caught.
